Art has always been about more than creating something beautiful for me. It’s about connection and making a difference.

Painting for Purpose began as a small, not-for-profit passion project in January 2023. I started by selling my textured art, while also holding events that brought people together through art and fundraising.

What began as a creative outlet quickly became something much bigger than I expected. Through painting sales and fundraising events, Painting for Purpose has raised over $16,000 for charity!

Seeing people connect through art while knowing it was also helping others was incredibly meaningful. It made me realise that I wanted to keep creating something with purpose.

From Paintings to Art Kits

As Painting for Purpose grew, I started thinking about how I could share the experience with more people.

I wanted to make it possible for others to sit down, get creative and make something of their own.

That’s how my DIY Textured Art Kits came about.

The idea also came at an important time in my own life. After having my baby and stepping away from work on maternity leave, I wanted to build something that allowed me to continue creating while having the flexibility to be present with my daughter.

The kits became a way to bring the Painting for Purpose experience into more homes - inviting others to create for themselves.

A New Chapter, The Same Purpose

Painting for Purpose has now evolved from its not-for-profit beginnings into a small creative business.

While the business model has changed, the heart of Painting for Purpose hasn’t.

I still believe that creativity is good for the soul, that making something with your own hands is incredibly rewarding, and that business can be a vehicle for doing good.

Our goal is to put together beautiful, thoughtfully designed art experiences that encourage you to slow down, create with purpose and have fun.

I’ll continue using Painting for Purpose to support causes that matter.

Thank you for being part of this next chapter.
